Being Concerned with Mere Cosmetics Instead of the Interior

Monday, April 30th, 2007

To be honest, a person cannot see how he or she looks. The person does not know the facial expressions shown to the world. One cannot take out the eyes and observe the body. The only thing a person can see is his or her own hands, feet, & anything that is relatively in the front of the person. As for the face, the only way to see it is through reflections. Mirrors, pictures, etc.

With this idea in mind, a person never actually knows what truly lies within unless a search is started. Think about it. As a group of people, we’re so analytical about our appearance. Trying to get that hair just right, getting that right shave, that fresh line, making sure the curl curls up the right way. The list goes on and on. Wonder if people are so analytical about the way they live their lives.

Some people look at their lives through a microscope, others rarely take the time to analyze their lives. Some even look at life through a microscope at its highest magnification setting. This is the aspect of looking within. A person does not have to be too critical. Just take the time and look for a few seconds.

Sometimes what is discovered will be the unexpected, surprising to the discoverer and anyone who witnesses the discovery. Instead of looking in the mirror, look within. Find out if that person in the mirror is a true reflection.

Finding A Niche

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Choosing a niche and sticking with it……

It’s kinda difficult, especially when being diverse in writing and emotions. As I continue my idea of LosEvolution, the site and the person, that makes choosing a niche difficult.

There’s current events. Making yet ANOTHER place to see current news, etc. MSNBC, CNN, and any other news site have already done it and are still doing it. LosEvolution is not a newspaper, though delivering the best content is the top priority.

Becoming a download mirror. Another link to the Internet world of free/shareware. Download.com, SourceForge, and other good mirrors are great sites for that already. OK, I don’t want to be like Netscape & Digg. See the similarity? Netscape is Digg’s clone, pretty much. Unique reflection: a goal by a site designer and a person.

Writing poetry…
Despite the fact that I’m a decent poet, all I have to say is..poetry.com

Keep the niche together with computer tips, etc. There’s Digg’s Technology section, BlackViper, DaniWeb, TweakXP, and other websites where I grab all my tips and techniques from. Also there’s always good ol’ Google. It saved my own computer in many situations. Also there’s Maximum PC.

Well, that is the gist behind my thoughts of choosing a niche to tailor my site/blog to.

So my decision comes to this: I am a computer user/technician/programmer/tweaker. I also have skills in poetry and being analytical with my thoughts and opinions about stuff. Therefore, I chose 5 major categories on my site to blog in. Personal, Poetry, Site Updates, Technology, and World News. There will be a few random posts here and there, of course.

Finally added the categories section on the right of the site, and resorted my posts. So now it’s easier to browse through. Redid all the categories with the posts as well.

Gaming – What it is?

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Honestly, this is a question that can be answered easily. To me, the gaming life is a life of crazy, late-night twists and turns. Full of strategy, full of thoughts, exhausting battles, and trying to have a little fun in the process.

So, this is another side and another story. It’s true that I am a gamer, perhaps one of the most complex anyway. Any adventure, strategy, RTS, sports, simulation, and even the ol’ school emulation stuff is playable.

Being into computers so much hasn’t really helped the habit a lot, lol. It actually added the online gaming concept. It’s all in enjoyment, especially dealing with people online. A lot of gamers will know what I’m referring to when I bring up the idea of clans, guilds, etc.

The entire concept behind gamers is the typical guy with glasses, sits in front of his computer/console, with pizza boxes and Red Bull cans all around. It’s not the case….when in fact the gamer actually has a life besides that. Though it may or may not be as huge as the non-gamer, the person actually does breathe another air besides the air that is compressed and blowing out of the gamer’s multi-hundred dollar PC.

Think about that once in a while that the same drive and focus that a gamer spends trying to solve the riddle in some strategy game, that same focus can be applied to every aspect of life.
