Anyway, this virus is in the form of a greeting card. Once opened, it infects the computer by installing WinAntivirus XP or Antivirus XP. These are major malware programs that circumvent the preinstalled antivirus (if any). Also, the false antivirus will ‘detect’ thousands of ‘trojans’ on the machine.
XpAntivirus ScreenshotA recommended removal of this P.O.S. is to use the MalWareBytes scan. After that, run Spybot Search and Destroy. Restart your machine after removing the issues that each program finds and say Merry Christmas.
