Adobe 9.0 Pro and Adobe Reader 9.3 Install Issues
If you have Adobe Reader 9.x installed and are trying to install the professional version of Adobe Acrobat, you may get an error message saying that your serial is invalid. After carefully checking your serial, try retyping it. If that does not work, uninstalling Adobe Reader will do the trick. This worked with a serial of mine which was purchased from a major software vendor.
To remove Adobe Reader, go to the Start (Windows) menu. Click on Control Panel. After that, then use Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features). Select Adobe Reader and click ‘Uninstall.’ Once this is done, run the Adobe Acrobat 9.0 setup again and your key should work. After install, be sure to check the updates and accept all of Adobe’s licensing agreements.
